Biography

Pauline R. Traub, age 93, of East Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at her residence.

Pauline was born on May 17, 1917 in Peoria, Illinois to Fred and Frieda (Kurrle) Reichert. She married Fred Traub on March 4, 1936 in Eureka, Illinois.

Pauline is survived by her husband Fred; one son, Fred (Charlene) Traub of Mapleton, Illinois; one daughter, Phyllis (George) Holliday of Hanna City; one sister, Dorothy (Frank) Bethel of Bartonville, Illinois; three grandchildren, Lisa Bailey of West Peoria, Lorie (Scott) Seppelt of Florissant, Missouri, and Kathy (Harry) Puterbaugh of Peoria, Illinois; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Florence Morrison and one granddaughter, Cindy Pennycuff.

Pauline was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville, Illinois.

Services will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 10am at St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Barbra Ziah will be officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 5pm to 7pm at Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. Arrangements made by Richard S. Wilton through Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home.
